At the heart of the K-350’s design is its commitment to safety and reliability, featuring dual redundant life support, electrical, ballast air, and emergency drop weight systems. The electrical system boasts an impressive array of power sources, including two 36-volt battery banks composed of three 12-volt deep cycle batteries in series, and two 12-volt battery banks with two deep cycle batteries each, totaling ten deep cycle batteries across two separate pods for ample power. The main motor, a robust 36-volt DC unit rated at 8.3 HP, promises smooth propulsion through the aquatic depths. While cockpit lighting is recommended for installation, the submarine currently does not include external underwater lights, offering a blank canvas for customization according to your preferences.

Life support is paramount in the K-350, equipped with a scrubber (awaiting connection), two external O2 tanks, and up to 72 hours of life support capability, ensuring peace of mind during extended dives. The ballast system features two main ballast tanks with cabin depress valves, a small variable ballast tank nestled between the battery pods, and two fully selectable ballast air scuba bottles, complemented by dual drop weights for precise underwater maneuvering.

Included with the submarine is a trailer complete with a 14-foot launch extension (requiring inspection and maintenance), towing lugs at both the fore and aft for secure transport, three top-mounted lifting lugs for easy handling, and protective window covers to safeguard against debris during transit.

The KITTREDGE K-350 has recently participated in a dive and is currently undergoing a few minor upgrades. Before it’s ready for your next underwater adventure, it will need a new main motor installation, CO2 scrubber wiring, and basic maintenance. Rest assured, we will deliver the submarine in dive-ready condition, just a couple of days following the deposit.
